Can you take ldn with plaquenil

Whenever I speak on the topic of autoimmunity or thyroid health, it is often one of the first things I am asked about. Opioids (including the ones used in prescription pain medications such as Percocet, Dilaudid, Lortab, Vicodin as well as drugs such as heroin) attach to these same receptors and produce a similar result. I will also discuss how LDN can fit into The Myers Way® as part of a broader approach to reversing autoimmunity alongside The Autoimmune Solution. Naltrexone is an opioid antagonist, meaning it blocks the opioid receptors in your brain.

YAY! It seems a combination of LDN and Plaquenil ® is probably a better fit in my case, at least for now. The vivid dreams from the LDN were wonderful; unfortunately, I no longer have them, but I sleep like a baby What approach did you take regarding LDN dosing? I began taking 1.5 mg, and would increase by 0.5 mg every 3 weeks or so. The most often reported side effects are sleep disturbances and vivid dreams, which most often go away after a short time. However, I understand that Plaquenil does have some devastating "side effects," including possible blindness! You should speak with the doctor who prescribed LDN for you. What does he or she say? However, I do know from my own experience and information from my rheumatologist that Plaquenil can cause stomach upset and pain when you first start taking it. I had pretty rough stomach cramps for the first week and a half I was on Plaquenil. But then they went away, and I haven't had a problem since.

They block pain, slow breathing, and lead to a generally calming and anti-depressant effect. Today I’d like to help you better understand what LDN is, how it can be helpful for patients with autoimmune disease, and how I have used it with my own patients.

I'm on both MTX and LDN with good results including lower ESR and CRP. Pain level dropped from 8-9 in most joints to 1-3 in fingers and toes mainly. No severe side effects except occasional fatigue and minor stomach issues. Now, a lower doses of 3 to 4.5mg are used for LDN’s immunomodulating properties and has not yet been submitted for FDA approval at this low dose. Again, naltrexone is a prescription drug, usually in a large 50mg size, originally manufactured by DuPont under the brand name Revia. Now, of course, if you can achieve results and address your autoimmune condition without using a medication, even one as safe as LDN, then that’s great, but my rubric for a treatment, you know, whether a treatment makes sense, has always been whatever is the most effective and causes the least amount of harm.
